Pitch reels are short videos in which attendees present themselves or their company. Watch them in the mobile app and the web app; record or upload your own in the mobile app.
Where to find it
Home: the Pitch reels section (or the name your organizer gave the feature) shows up to 6 videos. See all opens the player.
Your own video (mobile app only): select your profile picture, then the pitch reels row under Event settings.
If you don't see the section, the event does not use pitch reels, or networking is off for your ticket.
Watch pitch reels
Select a video on Home. The player opens full screen.
Swipe up (or scroll in the web app) for the next video. The overlay shows the person's name, title, company and introduction.
Select Connect to open the person's profile, the bookmark icon to bookmark them, or the heart to like the video. The number next to the heart counts likes.
At the end of the list, the player reads "You're all caught up!". Select Got it, or Add video if you can upload.
Report a video
In the player, open the menu (⋮) and select Report.
On Report the video, choose I just don't like it, Inappropriate content or Misleading or false information.
Select Submit. The app confirms and covers the video for you on this device.
The event's moderation contacts get an email about the report.
Record or upload your video (mobile app)
On Home, select Add video (or the organizer's text) in the pitch reels section, or open the pitch reels row under Event settings.
If the organizer added recording tips, a lightbulb button with the organizer's title opens them before you record.
Record with the camera, or pick a video from your library. A video can be up to 30 seconds. Longer videos are refused with "Video too long".
Review the clip. The ⋮ menu offers Save to device for a recording and Discard.
Select Next. On Captions language, choose the language spoken in the video: No captions, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian, German, Japanese, Italian, Korean, Dutch, Polish or Czech. Select Upload & Publish.
Wait for "Uploading video..." to finish. The app confirms with "Video submitted!".
What happens next depends on the event:
Without review: "We're processing your video. It'll be live on your profile in just a moment." The video appears on Home and on your profile once processed.
With review: "Your video is being processed and will go live after organizer review. We'll notify you." The video appears after the organizer approves it.
The pitch reels row under Event settings shows the status: "Processing your video...", "Video published", "Your video was hidden by the Event Organizer" or "Your video was deleted by the Event Organizer".
Replace or remove your video
Published video: open the pitch reels row under Event settings. The screen shows your video and its statistics. Select Unpublish video & delete and confirm Delete the video. This is permanent. Then record or upload a new one.
Video still processing or waiting for review: open the same row. The app offers Replace video; confirming deletes the current video and opens the recording screen.
Good to know
You can have one video per event.
Recording and uploading work only in the mobile app. The web app plays videos but has no upload option and no pitch reels row under Account.
Leaving the recording screen with an unpublished clip asks "Discard video?".
The organizer can hide or delete your video and can stop you from uploading again. The upload screen then reads "Your pitch reel has been deleted".
Only published videos appear on Home and in the player.
Troubleshooting
"Video too long"
The video is longer than 30 seconds. Trim it in your phone's gallery and pick it again.
"Failed to start upload" / "Failed to save video"
The upload did not start, or the recording could not be saved to your device. Check your connection and try again.
My video is not on Home
It is still processing, waits for the organizer's review, or the organizer hid it. Check the status in the pitch reels row under Event settings.
