Breakout rooms are video rooms for group discussions, workshops or coffee breaks. Open a room card to join the call inside the app.
Where to find it
Mobile app: Menu > Breakout Rooms (or the name your organizer gave the page).
Web app: Breakout Rooms in the left menu. In a narrow window, Menu > Breakout Rooms.
If you don't see the page, the event has no breakout rooms.
Join a room
Open Breakout Rooms. Each card shows the room's cover, date, status, name, description and hours.
Check the status: Open, Starts <time or date> or Closed. The hours read for example "09:00 - 17:00" or "All day".
Select an open room. The call opens inside the app under the room's name, with your name as the display name.
Your camera and microphone are off when you join. Turn them on with the call controls.
Use the chat in the call to talk to the room. The participant list is hidden.
To leave, go back. The call ends when you leave the screen.
Good to know
Rooms are open only between their start and end times. A room opened early reads "This room isn't open yet — it opens today at <time>." (or "tomorrow at", or "on <date> at"). A room after its end time reads "This room is closed."
Times show in the event's time zone, or in yours if the app is set to a different time zone.
The organizer has a separate host link for each room. Attendees always join through the room card.
In the web app, the room uses the full width of the window; the right sidebar hides while you are in a room.
Allow camera and microphone access when the app or the browser asks for it.
Troubleshooting
"Check back later — rooms will appear here once they are set up."
The organizer has not published any room yet.
"Room not found" / "This breakout room is no longer available."
The organizer removed the room. Open Breakout Rooms for the current list.
No video or sound
Check that camera and microphone access is allowed for the app or the browser. See Set up audio and video for virtual meetings and Network and firewall requirements.
