Add your Brella meetings and bookmarked sessions to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook or any other calendar app. Subscribe to keep them updated, or export a one-time file.
Where to find it
Both paths open the same Sync to calendar sheet, in the mobile app and the web app:
My Schedule (or "My" plus the name of your event's schedule page): Sync schedule to my calendar at the top of the list. The button appears once you have a meeting or a bookmarked session.
Schedule (or the name your organizer gave it): the sliders icon at the top right opens Settings. Under Calendar sync, select Sync calendar. In the web app, the settings open over the page without a header.
Subscribe to your schedule
A subscription stays up to date: when you book a meeting or bookmark a session, your calendar app picks it up at its next refresh.
Open Sync to calendar.
Under Subscribe — stays up to date, choose your calendar:
Apple Calendar: opens the subscription in the device's default calendar app. Not offered on Android.
Google Calendar: opens Google Calendar in the browser with the subscription ready to add. Confirm there.
Outlook.com or Microsoft 365: opens Outlook on the web with the subscription ready to add. The calendar is named "Brella Meetings and Bookmarks" (a branded event app uses its own name instead of Brella).
Copy subscription link: copies the link so you can add it in any calendar app. The app confirms with "Calendar link copied to clipboard".
Finish in your calendar app.
To add the copied link by hand, use your calendar app's option to add a calendar from a URL (also called "subscribe" or "from internet"). If the app refuses a link that starts with webcal://, replace webcal:// with https://.
Export a file instead
Under Export — one-time snapshot, select Download .ics file. The file holds this event's accepted meetings and bookmarked sessions as they are now. It does not update later.
Web app: the browser downloads
<event>-schedule.ics. Open it to import the entries into your calendar app.Mobile app: the share sheet Export schedule opens. Choose your calendar app or save the file.
What ends up in your calendar
Subscription: your accepted meetings and bookmarked sessions from every Brella event that has not ended, as one calendar named Brella Meetings and Bookmarks. Pending meeting requests are not included.
.ics file: the same items for the current event only.
Meetings are titled "Meeting: <name of the other person>" and carry the meeting point, the sponsor booth or the networking area as the location. A meeting point with a label from the organizer shows the label too, for example "VIP, Table 3", or only "VIP" when the organizer hides the table number. Sessions use the session title and have no location. The description holds the session subtitle, tags and the event name.
Every entry has a reminder 10 minutes before it starts.
Times are stored in the event's time zone. Your calendar app shows them in yours.
Good to know
The subscription link is personal. Anyone who has it can read your meetings and bookmarks without signing in. Don't share it. If it leaks, contact Brella support.
Brella creates the link the first time you choose a subscribe option. It is the same link for all your events on this account.
Your calendar app decides how often it refreshes a subscription. Google Calendar refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule, which can take up to a day. Apple Calendar lets you set the refresh interval in the calendar's settings.
Removing a bookmark or canceling a meeting removes the entry at the next refresh. Past events drop out of the subscription when they end.
Troubleshooting
Apple Calendar opens another app, or nothing opens
Another app on your device handles calendar links. Select Copy subscription link and add the link in Calendar with File > New Calendar Subscription (Mac) or in your calendar app's option to add a calendar from a URL.
Google Calendar shows the calendar but no entries, or old entries
Google refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule. Wait for the next refresh; it can take up to a day. Check the calendar is turned on in the left panel of Google Calendar.
My calendar app rejects the link
Select Copy subscription link, paste it into the app's "add calendar from URL" option, and change webcal:// at the start to https://.
"Something went wrong"
The app could not create the link or the file. Check your connection and try again. If it repeats, see Technical troubleshooting steps.
A session is missing
Only bookmarked sessions sync. Open the session and bookmark it. Meetings sync only once they are accepted.
