The Brella mobile app allows you to block or report other attendees directly from their profile. These features help you manage your networking experience.
Difference Between Reporting and Blocking
Reporting and blocking are two different actions. Understanding the difference is important.
Action | What It Does | Can You Still Connect? |
Report | Notifies event organizers about inappropriate behavior | Yes, you can still network with the attendees |
Block | Hides the attendee from your attendee list | No, you will no longer see them |
How to Report an Attendee
Reporting an attendee will not impact your ability to connect or network with them. It simply sends a notification to event organizers.
Open the Brella event app on your mobile device.
Navigate to the Attendees/People tab.

Select the attendee you wish to report.
Go to their profile.
Tap the three dots (⋮) in the corner.
Select Report.
Add a specific message to explain why you are reporting the attendee (recommended)
Submit the report
How to Block an Attendee
Once you block an attendee, you will no longer see them in your attendee list or networking suggestions.
Open the Brella event app on your mobile device.
Navigate to the Attendees tab.
Select the attendee you wish to block.
Go to their profile.
Tap the three dots (⋮) in the
Select Block.
Confirm.
How to Unblock an Attendee
If you change your mind, you can unblock an attendee at any time.
Open the Brella event app on your mobile device
Go to your Account Settings
Select Blocked users
Find the attendee you wish to unblock
Tap Unblock next to their name
Once unblocked, the attendee will reappear in your attendee list.
